Holidays
There is a $10 daily surcharge for services provided on the following federal holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the Day After Christmas. Due to high demand on these holidays, we require a non-refundable deposit upon booking services to reserve a sitter. The deposit, charged to a credit card, is $50 for cat care visits and $100 for dog boarding or pet sitting visits. The deposit is credited toward the service total on the final invoice.
Miscellaneous Charges
- Walk scheduled with less than three hours notice $10
- Full fee applies for cancellations made after 5 PM the day before a scheduled service visit
- Initial Interview with dog walker or pet sitter $20
- Key drop off or pick up $10
- Key set duplication $25
- Doggie drop off or pick up (for boarding) $20
- Cancellation fee (less than three days notice for dog boarding/sitting) 1/2 of total invoice
- Supply pick up $20 (plus the cost of supplies)
- Late fee for overdue invoices $5 per month
Rescued Dog Discount
All of us at Saving Grace are avid animal lovers, and many of us have even rescued our own pets! We offer a one-time $25 gift certificate to new clients whose dog was adopted from a shelter or pet rescue organization. The discount will be applied after the first month of regularly scheduled walks.
Payment Procedures
We bill on the first of each month for the month ahead; credits accrued during the month due to cancellations are applied to the next month’s invoice before billing. Services added during the month are included on the next month’s invoice as well. Most clients find automatic credit card billing to be the most convenient. Payment by check is due no later than the 10th of each month.
For dog and cat sitting clients, an invoice will be generated and billed to a credit card upon booking. Once payment is processed, service is considered confirmed and cancellation policies are in effect.

Saving Grace accepts all major credit cards; card information is kept securely on file.
Tips for walkers and sitters are greatly appreciated. If you do wish to leave a gratuity, you may either leave it directly for the sitter at your home or include extra with your payment. Automatic tips can also be set up–just ask! 100% will go to the sitter or walker.
