Before becoming a midday dog walker with Saving Grace in August 2010, I felt something missing in my daily work life.
I was thankful to have achieved academic success in obtaining a Master’s degree but, instead of enjoying a long career in my field, I found myself unfulfilled. 5 o’clock could never come soon enough.
After walking for a few months, something shifted. Actually, everything shifted.
Each day, I was excited to rise and see what adventures awaited me with my midday companions and they, in turn, were equally excited to see me. Before I knew it, the days turned into months and months into years and I realized that being outside with them was where I belonged. They are the reason I’m able to walk miles in the pouring rain, snow, and sweltering heat with a smile.
Being in the company of animals is truly where I find joy and the reason I am so grateful to provide Saving Grace Pet Care services to the families of Hill East.
